Job Description

Administration team and support Business requirements in terms of accurate record keeping.

Key responsibilities will include:

Direct management responsibility for the vehicle administration team
Ensuring the highest levels of data quality are maintained for all assets including technical drawing statutory records.
Working closely with internal / external customers to ensure maximum vehicle uptime is achieved during peak operating times with efficient communication between in house workshops and third party suppliers.
Ensuring the maintenance of the fleet is in compliance with Transport Engineering Standards and Legislative requirements.
Monitoring and reporting on asset / departmental spend.
Organising suppliers / end users to ensure new vehicles are brought into service as quickly as possible, with all required equipment fitted and registered.
Working with in-house maintenance teams to prepare vehicles for disposal / sale.
Reviewing and developing direct reports, identify any training needs in order to achieve continuous improvement within vehicle administration team.
Working closely with third party and specialist contractors to ensure contractual obligations and safety standards are being adhered to.
Providing admin support for the Fleet Management Team.
Carrying out projects / initiatives within job holder's capabilities as required.

As such we would like you to have:

Demonstrable supervisory / management experience from within a similar role preferably within the vehicle engineering sector.
Knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation, road transport law and engineering best practice.
The ability to collate accurate data sets and produce detailed reports to the wider management team.
Good written, verbal and IT communications skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Experience working with Gas / Petroleum of other hazardous goods
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to deliver complex projects.
Experienced in vehicle technologies and fuel management systems.
Experience in SAP Asset Management Systems.
