Job Description
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Freight Forwarding operator to join their expanding team. As a business we specialise in Freight Forwarding activities within the EU to a wide range of manufacturers and industries. This would be an ideal position for someone with specific operational experience, already working within the Forwarding industry.
The Role
Daily customer services to ensure the needs of our clients are met
Assisting with completion of documentation and compliance
Experience of the AEB customs software package advantageous but not essential.
Ensuring that documentation is prepared and accepted for all daily export shipments in a timely manner
Load planning and liaising with hauliers to secure trailers as required
Assist in managing customer interfaces and expectations to ensure excellent customer service is offered to our clients
Provide the rest of our team with customs support as required
Monitor the clearance status of all shipments
Liaise with warehouse and operations staff to be ensure that tight time schedules are met
Initial flexibility on working hours whilst we adjust to the new Brexit requirements from 1st January 2021
The Candidate
Excellent communication and co-ordination skills, with a good knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Customs procedures
IT literate with knowledge of Customs software and transport Management Systems being advantageous
Strong organisation and time management skills
Ability to work as part of a team
At least 3 years relevant experience
