Freight Forwarder


£28,000 - £32,000


Our client is an established Logistics company based in the West Midlands, part of a global company and specialists in global freight forwarding. They are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join a growing office at an exciting time of our development in a permanent and full-time capacity.



As a Freight Forwarder, you will work on the company's forwarding team - supporting our Key Accounts with European road freight, your role will cover the following tasks:


Liaise with transport department for arranging the collection of goods from across the country.

Negotiate and organise FTL, Part Load and Groupage shipments with new and existing sub-contractors and build strong working relationships.

Have daily contact with international partners to ensure goods are delivered in a timely manner.

Working with the Key Accounts of the Depot and liaising with the customer contacts on a daily basis.

React quickly to changing situations and follow strict and time sensitive KPI's to ensure compliance.

Recording, planning and executing road freight transport routes in line with SLA agreements.

Handle the day-to-day operational issues and maintain smooth flow of information in amongst other team members and the customer.

Respond in a timely manner to all customer queries surrounding transport solutions.

Support the culture of continuous improvement across the road freight network.

Upload data into systems accurately and up to date, with special care and attention to job-costing estimates.

Ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved department procedures and deadlines.




A team player with experience of European import and export.

To have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

High level of customer service skills.

Some experience of customs entries would be beneficial.

Professional manner when talking with customers and suppliers.
