£35,000 - £45,000

To procure materials, parts and services for field erected and factory assembled towers, warranty and spares. To track and expedite all materials for the UK factory assembled product and to process financial invoices/sales orders/costing issues.

• Purchasing all UK specified materials for field erected projects
• Purchasing materials for warranty, aftermarket and factory assembled projects
• Tracking and reporting on incoming parts relating to the build schedule and forecast
• Highlighting any issues or potential problems with UK purchased parts at the weekly Supply chain outlook meeting
• Processing orders on QTC and SAP systems
• Booking in orders for labour/services and all materials that do not deliver directly to the Worcester plant
• Running the exception report in SAP to capture unwanted purchases
• Creating and monitoring shortage reports for all parts
• Arranging transport for the collection of materials from Europe, Asia and the USA
• Managing the delivery of stock from offsite storage locations to the Worcester plant and co-ordinating the transport of materials to and from local suppliers
• Physically counting stock, inputting counts and rectifying stock issues and variances as part of annual stock take
• Identifying any rectifying issues with customer sales orders to ensure invoices can be raised for work carried out by SPX
• Identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Logging supplier issues and errors in the ETQ continuous improvement system and attending supplier performance meetings
• Carrying out month/year end activities including audits, system housekeeping, GRIR and PO reversals
• Support Training new starters on the procurement functions of the SAP system
• Run Strategic Sourcing projects to reduce cost and improve supplier base
• Work with vendors to assure necessary quality and OTD metrics





• In depth knowledge of the SAP system, specifically the procurement and materials management functions
• Good understanding of Supply chain management and international logistics
• Extensive experience in building supplier relationships and managing vendors effectively
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely via a range of modern media and face to face
• Excellent time management
• Able to manage a high work load and identify and prioritise the most important tasks
• Can delegate tasks effectively
• Able to work to deadlines on large projects
• Strong planning skills
• Able to negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers



Required Education / Experience
• Educated to degree level
• Experience in supply chain
• Experience of the SAP ERP system
