Job title: Certification Engineer
Location: Leicester
Salary: 45,000 p.a.
Hours: Monday - Friday

A well-established global manufacturer of one of the world's most prestigious motorcycles are looking to recruit for a Certification Engineer. Working as the Certification Engineer you will be responsible for effective type approval test programs for new models, model updates and running changes, all in line with company dates.


Day to day duties will include the following:

•To execute effective type approval test programs for new models, model updates and running changes, all in line with the company key dates.
•To help to devise test methodologies, including the development of cost-effective test equipment.
•To ensure information documents and drawings are accurate and are in line with regulatory requirements.
•To assist in the investigation of regulations and test procedures of markets new to Triumph. This includes any local specificities that may apply including documentation, test lead-times etc.
•To deputise for the Senior Homologation Engineer as requested.
•To advise design staff where necessary on homologation matters, especially where interpretation of a regulation is needed.
•To forge effective and mutually beneficial relations with test houses and type approval authorities.
•To assist with other projects as required.

As Certification Engineer you will need the following qualities and experience:

•The successful candidate will ideally be educated to minimum HND level in an engineering or automotive subject and in addition, he/she must be able to demonstrate the following key skills/attributes:
•Knowledge of, and experience in the type approval of an L, M, N or T category vehicle for the European Union or another major vehicle market such as the US, Japan or Australia.
•Flexibility and willingness to travel overseas to conduct test programs.

Main purpose of job
Working with the Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for Programming setting/operating CNC machines to help achieve daily production output, working to strict safety and quality standards and optimizing machine efficiency and maintaining operational excellence.

Day to day duties will include the following:
•Programme Set and operate 5 axis Milling machines
•Programme and setting adjustments on FANUC controls
•Experience with Delcam Powershape CAD CAM software an ADVANTAGE
•Follow Job Sheets issued by Planning or Shift Supervisor ensuring the machines are operating in a way which maximizes output whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.
•Check the CNC programme, tooling and job sheets match and the correct revision of the drawing is being used.
•Check parts are to correct tolerances to meet standards and specifications
•Using the correct set-up and CMM programme, ensure a 1st off is performed on all jobs using the CMM machine.
•Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of machines as required and defined by the TPM plan
•Follow 5S routines ensuring they are completed for the next shift

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
•Understanding of 5S
•Ability to work across multiple machines
•Previous manufacturing experience
•Experience of working and delivering production targets

They are currently looking to recruit for a Multi Skilled CNC Programmer Setter/ Operator (Miller/Turner). As the Programmer Setter/Operator you will be responsible programming on 4 & 5 axis machining centres with the ability to program using the latest CAD systems.
Day to day duties will include the following:
•Ability and aptitude to identify and address opportunities to maximise machine utilisation and uptime to meet demanding manufacturing schedules, to include multiple machine operation.
•Be capable of working with the minimum of supervision in the identification and execution of priorities and tasks set.
•Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and agreed targets.
•Reliable, consistent and punctual.
•Be a proactive team player.
•Able to maintain and monitor their own quality control using micrometers, Vernier's and gauges.

A leading global FMCG client are looking to recruit for a Production Supervisor to join their in-house production / operations department.
You will have supervisory responsibility for a team of production line leaders and warehouse team leaders ensuring that all operational and warehouse activities are completed accurately, concisely and to the required standards of quality, legality and safety. A key part of the role is to coordinate the activities of the warehouse and packhouse ensuring continuity of supply and timely order output. The role requires the effective management of staff including the organisation of people, materials, labels, operational throughput and packaging.
Responsibilities:
•Responsibility for the supervision and ongoing operational performance of a team of warehouse and packhouse staff including support staff.
•To ensure that all information and systems required for the accuracy and ongoing effectiveness of the Prophet data input system is managed correctly.
•To work within a delivery, production and output schedule.
•To analyse the ongoing performance of the operation and staff.
•To schedule orders effectively, maximizing efficiencies and operational throughput.
•Monitor the performance of equipment ensuring that any malfunction or breakdown is reported and remedied.
•Ensure ongoing accuracy of customer data (label management and product identification).
•Cross train and develop staff, provide support.
•Support and manage KPIs and training for all staff under your authority.

•Educated to national QCF level 3 in an academic or relevant vocational qualification.
•Previous experience of working within a warehouse or packhouse environment in a FMCG supervisory capacity is essential (Essential)
•Experience of working with a prophet data input system, including data input, reconciliation and reports (Essential)
•Computer literate, with requirements for MS Word, Excel and Outlook (Essential)
•Experience of working in a demanding environment working with demanding customers (Essential)
