We are looking for an experienced CAD designer with knowledge of using 3D CAD software to interpret and change drawings as required.

The customer will send 2D/3D drawings which will be transformed into 3D data using 3D software. machining data is sent to one of our HURCO CNC machines.

The right candidate will be CAD experienced with some CNC knowledge and be willing to diverse between the two.

They now cater for customers from all different sectors including automotive, marine, onshore and offshore oil industry and medical to name just a few.

Duties of CAD and CNC Engineer:

• create and manipulate 3D models and drawings.
• Working closely to customers specifications and details to ensure the end product is to the highest standard.
• Working with CNC machines such as HurcoVMX64
• Developing good working relationships with other team members to ensure the best working environment for all.

Requirements of CAD and CNC Engineer:
• 3D CAD experience
• Good working background from either the foundry or toolmaking/patternmaking industry.
• Knowledge of VAC Forming and Polyurethane Mould Tools
• Some CNC operator skills. (Training can be provided as most work will be with CAD)

Job Title: Toolmaker/ Manager
Reporting to: Factory Manager
Our client is looking for someone to design, manufacture and maintain tooling to support the production of cold pressed components
Daily duties:
• Design and manufacture tools to enable the production of presswork with hand presses, bowers and power presses
• Maintain tools to ensure continued production to drawing
• Assist with the production and maintenance of tooling for CNC machines
• Ensure adherence to stringent quality requirements and processes
• Work in collaboration with the production department to get the tooling set up for manufacture
• Use the ERP system to record hours logged as appropriate
• Work closely with the Quality department to ensure that product and associated paperwork are in line with the expectation
• Ensure workspace remains clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Actively participate in the companies continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist the sales office with method of manufacture and timings for customer quotations
• Work closely with colleagues and the Factory Manager in order to ensure production deadline are adhered to
• Undertake any other reasonable activities as directed by the Factory Manager.

Qualifications/ Attributes/ Experiences.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
• Good knowledge of CAD packages
• Use of conventional machining and cutting equipment such as millers, lathes, grinders etc
• EDM operation
• Experienced in a range of materials in a tight tolerance environment
• Attention and passion for detail
• Demonstrable use of initiative
