We are seeking a part-qualified (AAT or equivalent minimum) Accounts Assistant looking to gain valuable experience in a busy work environment as part of our clients small, friendly team based in Highley near Bridgnorth.

This is a temporary role covering approximately 12 months but is likely to lead to extended opportunities beyond 12 months for the right candidate. The successful candidate must be available to start January 2020 at the latest in this full time (36 hours a week) position.

The applicant will be reporting to the Accounts Supervisor and will include the following duties:

• Preparing purchase ledger invoices
• Entering purchase invoices on to the purchase day book
• Dealing with purchase invoice queries by liaising with the purchasing team
• Recording import carriage costs
• Record VAT Deferment
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Posting Amazon sales ledger cash
• Record Amazon deductions and dispute any discrepancies e.g. submitting proof of deliveries
• General office duties
Requirements
• Minimum part-qualified AAT qualification
• Competent using Excel spreadsheets
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional when faced with deadlines and multiple priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with colleagues at different levels of seniority
