A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Transport Planner to work as part of our Logistics Planning Team based at our depot in Birmingham. You will produce, support, analyse and monitor the execution of the plans created by Logistics Planning Operations. PTV/CTMS software experience is essential, and as transport can be unpredictable you must be able to think on your feet and be adaptable to change.

Our Planners will work days,and weekends - therefore a flexible approach is a must.

Key account abilities and measures

Produce a prompt, efficient, and accurate National Transport Plan using PTV/CTMS planning software in line with KPIs
Ensure transport team execute the plans produced by Logistics Team.
Provide real time monitoring on work and make necessary changes to ensure all work is completed on time and in full
Monitor site and driver compliance to plan
Support the planning team with reporting and administration
Provide cover for operations controllers
Support the Logistics Help desk with changes to the DC delivery schedule
Ensure on the day execution across the 2 transport sites is effective and within service and cost requirements - challenge when not
Monitor delivery performance into sites and liaise with the transport team
Interrogate systems to provide management information and carry out analysis as required
Ensure office administration is completed in an accurate and timely manner
Required to work Friday to Tuesday shift weekly, this could change in line with the business needs.

Reporting to: Factory Manager
Our client is looking for someone to design, manufacture and maintain tooling to support the production of cold pressed components
Daily duties:
• Design and manufacture tools to enable the production of presswork with hand presses, bowers and power presses
• Maintain tools to ensure continued production to drawing
• Assist with the production and maintenance of tooling for CNC machines
• Ensure adherence to stringent quality requirements and processes
• Work in collaboration with the production department to get the tooling set up for manufacture
• Use the ERP system to record hours logged as appropriate
• Work closely with the Quality department to ensure that product and associated paperwork are in line with the expectation
• Ensure workspace remains clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Actively participate in the companies continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist the sales office with method of manufacture and timings for customer quotations
• Work closely with colleagues and the Factory Manager in order to ensure production deadline are adhered to
• Undertake any other reasonable activities as directed by the Factory Manager.

Key Skills/attributes/role demands

• To be responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2000
