Specialised in special fasteners in critical alloys, small to large sized diameters and lengths. Recent growth has created an opportunity for a CNC programmer to join the growing team

Day to day duties will include the following:
•Experience on CNC machines with Fanuc & HAAS based controls.
•Setter/Operator with strong background knowledge of TURNING
•Programming for at least 3 years
•Fastener experience a BONUS
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
•Able to Set and operator CNC machinery to produce parts and inspect to the required standard.
•Flexible, positive approach with a can-do attitude.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Fanuc control experience
•Eligible to work in the UK
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Hourly: 13.50 - 15 per hour
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm
Friday 7am - 1pm

I am recruiting for a client who specialise in providing a bespoke and customised service across multiple market sectors. They are currently looking to recruit for a CNC Programmer Setter/ Operator. As the Programmer Setter/Operator you will be responsible programming on Mazak 2 & 3 axis machining centres.

Day to day duties will include the following:
•To write and prove out programs (Mazak).
•To plan and implement the methodology of producing the relevant components
•To set and operate machines, when no programming is required (Milling machines)
•For the successful candidate this may lead to the position of section leader

FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
_At least 3 years' experience CNC Programming on MAZAK machines - Essential
_Milling experience - Essential
_A general knowledge of tooling requirements, speeds, feeds etc - Essential

JOB PURPOSE:
Work within a workgroup to produce precision machined components from a variety of metals to include exotic metals such as titanium Inconel and Nimonic. To produce high quality precision parts to customer and quality specified tolerances using best practise modern methods. To contribute to the team and help to develop and maintain best practices.
DAY TO DAY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• The running and setting CNC Turning machines
• Tool setting which includes the setting of tool geometries
• Setting and changing of fixtures, clamping fixtures and clamps as and when required
• Loading and unloading of fixtures using overhead cranes, slings, chains etc.
• Adjustment of offsets
• Capable of producing conforming first offs to drawing and quality specifications
• Achieve specified quality standards
• Conform to specified health and safety standards
• Communicate problems through work group and concern and countermeasure trackers
• Work within the designated workgroup to plan, prioritise and perform work to satisfy customer and company needs
• Assist in developing group goals and objectives
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Carry out daily TPM activities as required
• Develop and maintain standardised work
• Provide guidance and assistance to other group members
• Identify, share and submit good ideas (best practice) to the work group.
• To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.

AS A PERSON YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
•Must become familiar with quality standards and maintain and achieve specified Standards at all times.
