Day to day duties will include the following:
•To develop and manage of the company's management systems including transition from TS16949 to IATF 16949:2016 (Essential)
•Work closely with 3rd party auditors to achieve systems approval (Essential)
•Assist in development and implementation of new tools and quality systems across the organisation (Essential)
•Travel to other sites within the organisation when required (nationally and internationally) - (Essential)
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
•Experience lead auditor in IATF 16949 (Essential)
•Experience in working with 3rd party auditors in achieving and maintaining system approval (Essential)
•A sound understanding of quality tools and techniques and experience in applying them to a mass production environment (Essential)
•Experience in the development and implementation of new tools and systems across multi-site organisations (Essential)
•A detailed understanding of quality management systems technical specifications ISO 9001, IATF 16949 etc (Essential)
•A very good understanding of manufacturing systems (Essential)
•Experience of managing product development within the automotive industry, either from and OEM or a tier one supplier role (Essential)
•Project management skills and experience in implementing management change (Essential)
•The role is predominantly site based, but may travel internationally in the performance of the role (Essential)
•Hold a lead auditor Qualification (Essential)
•Excellent communication and written skills and able to plan, organise workloads effectively (Essential)

JOB PURPOSE:
To work within the Safran Aircraft Systems Cell and produce precision machined components to customer and quality specified tolerances using best practise modern methods. To contribute to the team and help to develop and maintain best practices.
Day to day duties will include the following:
•DAY TO DAY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
•Working within the SAE manufacturing Cell
•Working as a team to maximise machine utilisation
•Working to structured manufacturing plan
•Responsible for setting and operating of 5 Axis Turn Mill machines
•Responsible for quality output
•Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
•Capable of using measuring equipment such as Micrometers Vernier caliper's height towers shadow graphs CMM etc
•To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.

•To set and operate machines in line with production plans

Salary 35,000 - 40,000 p.a.
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving the Supply Chain product quality; managing process improvement and new product introduction.

Day to Day responsibilities:
•Proactive engagement with nominated suppliers to manage quality performance
•New Product Introduction supplier development & qualification process confirmation • Supplier process capability studies
•Management of non-conforming parts including containment, investigation and subsequent 8D process
•Technical liaison between suppliers and Bromford on part or process issues, ensuring timely resolution and close out
•Supplier PFMEA and DFMEA documentation generation, submission and approval
•Process improvement and cost down project management with suppliers
•Quality and Supplier related KPI's and Business review participation
•New ways of working - e.g. release at source for onward processing etc.

The successful candidate for the Supplier Quality Engineers position will have the following experience:
•Previous experience working within a Supplier Quality role - Essential
•Educated to HNC or equivalent within a relevant engineering discipline - Desirable
•Lean manufacturing and six sigma experiences - Desirable
•Experience with PFMEA & DFMEA documentation - Essential
