JOB PURPOSE:
To work within the Safran Aircraft Systems Cell and produce precision machined components to customer and quality specified tolerances using best practise modern methods. To contribute to the team and help to develop and maintain best practices.
Day to day duties will include the following:
•DAY TO DAY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
•Working within the SAE manufacturing Cell
•Working as a team to maximise machine utilisation
•Working to structured manufacturing plan
•Responsible for setting and operating of 5 Axis Turn Mill machines
•Responsible for quality output
•Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
•Capable of using measuring equipment such as Micrometers Vernier caliper's height towers shadow graphs CMM etc
•To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.

To support expansion plans and increased commercial activity this well-established Laser company is looking to recruit a highly experienced innovative and enthusiastic Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop electronic power systems, whilst working within a busy multi-disciplinary engineering R & D team. The position will focus on the design, build and test of power electronics systems for high-power and high voltage, switched-mode power supplies from an initial design specification and oversee their implementation into production.

Day to day duties will include the following:
• You will be responsible for generating conceptual designs based on technical specifications for high- power and high voltage, switched-mode power supplies.
• Circuit simulation and optimisation.
• Design and simulate power electronics circuits including physical layout.
• Design interface, gate drive and control PCBs creation and verification of embedded control software.
• Assist in building of prototype power electronics and control systems and testing to verify simulation.
• Participate in the creation of functional specifications, and test procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in functionality and manufacture.
• To review, update, alter or redesign current electrical items as defined/specified by the head of the Research and Development Team.

The successful candidate will need the following qualities and experience:
• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Broad hardware (analogue and digital) electronic engineering design skills
• Good understanding of power electronics and ability to comprehensively understand customer requirements

We are now looking for an experienced CNC Engineer to expand the team.

Day to day duties will include the following:
•Carry out off line 5 Axis CNC Machining Centre programming by interpreting and transferring data from the customer drawing / 3D programme
•Optimisation of the 5 Axis machine(s). The ability to work within a team environment is essential, be self-thinking, motivated and to take full responsibility and ownership when carrying out duties.
•Prove out CNC programmes. Determine & load machine cartridge with suitable tooling, making minor programme adjustments/ offsets as necessary.
•Carry out Quality Inspection process checks and use of range of hand held measuring instruments, including but not limited to micrometres, Vernier gauges, plug / bore gauges, taking casts & using shadowgraph.
•Carry out routine H&S machine checks e.g. maintenance of lubricant levels - Replace / replenish accordingly.
•Assist with training and job familiarisation of trainee(s).
•Working in accordance with company H&S Policy and Arrangements, compliance with Quality Standard requirements and general Company Rules.
•Experience of programming and Operation of XYZ 3 Axis Milling Machine would be a bonus
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
•Ideally Indentured Apprentice Trained: NVQ Level 4 in a related engineering discipline and or City & Guilds / ONC / HNC in Mechanical / Production Engineering. Degree qualified in related CNC/3D principles
•Experience in Programming, Setting & Operating of DMG Mori Seiki 5 Axis Machines ESSENTIAL.
𔅗D Modelling with Solid Edge. With broad engineering / workshop knowledge. ESSENTIAL.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings / 3D profiles. ESSENTIAL.
•Knowledge of Works NC, FANUC / Siemens Systems ESSENTIAL.
•Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar capacity within an engineering workshop environment is desirable.
